Serenity Now, SERENITY NOW!
This is what I’m doing right now:

Sanding. Aw, working with my hands is fun!

Still sanding. Hmm, maybe this manual labor thing isn’t all its cracked up to be.

Still fucking sanding this fucking chair. Cursing the existence of all chairs and sandpaper.
And this is my way of telling you that regularly scheduled posting will be on hold through the weekend, as I am in the process of moving/murdering people/possibly getting arrested due to the murdering which is a direct result of the moving. In closing, please get your bail money ready.

hahaha yeah, that’s about right. it’s fun for the first ten minutes
You with that mask on? Sexy. I don’t know how or why, but it’s totally hot.
You know what’s slightly less painful then moving? Waking up extremely early to go to a Bar Mitzvah. Yeah…just what I want to be doing tomorrow…enjoy the movie…penny lane always makes everything better.
You make manual labor look sezzzy. I totally think I’m going to bring the mask back. Also? you’re a fashion blogger now. In addition? We must talk when you’re done moving/out of jail. Most importantly? I love that song. I love that you love that song. I love that when it came on you thought of me. Now I will always think of you when I hear it/22 hours out of the day. It’s OUR song. Perfect for our wedding dance. I’m super glad this isn’t coming across as creepy. That would be WEIRD.
When I saw these pics of you sanding, at first I thought it was some sort of hipster fashion statement– the face mask.
Looks like hell!! You have to rent or borrow from someone one of those little electric sanders… Black and Decker makes them they’re really easy to use.
Ok, wishing you grand success with your project and weekend. Crafty girls rule.
I know I wanna say “that looks fun” but the picture may fool me and if I do it myself I might gonna be your jailmate. Who wants to bail me, really?:p
Good luck for the moving! Hope you get everything done well and quick.
Well at least you look hot doing it.
P.S Boba says “WOOF WOOF!” which in human speak translates to “Thank ya very much”.
This is WAY harder than I’d ever want to work!
Haha, that looks like hell. Those masks are scary but it’s even scarier to breathe in those little dusty wood pieces. Yep, I’m scared of everything.
This is why I plan to die in my house. Preferably, about 200 years from now.
LMFAO! Why aren’t you using an electric sander for that chair?!? And just call, I have my bail bondsman on speed dial.
hahaha
something tells me this isn’t your chair or your residence, and that you are refinishing some random neighbors furniture. Just a feeling I’m getting.
Coming from someone who has moved four times, I can totally relate to the suckiness of having to pack, refurbish and clean. Although I’ve never actually gone as far as to sand anything. Kudos to you! And the advantage is that with that mask, you’ll at least be safe from bird and swine flu!
my hands get all crampy when i sand. fingers crossed for maybe a really strong, sandy wind to come help you. that would work, right?
you are sanding MANUALLY and moving?!??!?! what a horrid combo! blech. would drugs or alcohol make either chore better? and this is going to sound SUPER SNOOTY, but i find hiring movers helps. you still have to box everything up, and unpack it, but they will load it and deliver it, and it isn’t super duper expensive if you don’t have a mansions’s worth of stuff to move.
hang in there.
p.s. i bsrfed last night and it made me think of you. sorry. for some reason i cannot eat ice cream at night. totally fucking bizarre, i know.
fucking slack jawed typer! bah! i hate my typo up there. it was supposed to read BARFED, not bsrfed. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Ahahahahahahhaha no! do try and hold yourself back from killing people. at least until after you move!
oh i will so get my bail on for you.
i can’t believe you’re still sanding that thing, you poor girl.
moving suckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkks.
and i love the tag: “violence against people is wrong usually.”
LOL!!! ….best of luck with all that!
You are sooo carpenter chic! Ok, I’ll stop, LOL.
Speaking of insane..I was seriously contemplating “making” a tufted cocktail ottoman as a DIY. Am I insane or what?
XOXO
I do not envy you woman. But you look HOT in those shorts!!
Ew. Work. Yuck.
Lol. Don’t encourage the boys! That look, surprisingly (or not so surprisingly) is very sexy. Very.
And sanding down and DIYing chairs and the like? Okay, respect.
Sorry about all the pain you have to go through….I don’t envy you one bit. Still, it can be slightly rewarding and refreshing until you hit blech again.
G’luck!
At least you look totally cute sanding that chair. Good luck with your very busy, probably not so fun weekend!
Precious, I had to laugh so hard about your last posting…. OMG…
kidding. Within last ten years I’ve moved seven times at all – and it sucks. It really does.
And before redrum anybody
go and invite/hijack some new neighbours and let them do the sandpaper stuff and everything else for you.
Moving is a pain in the ass. But it’s the only way to me to part with tons of magazines and other rubbish
I feel your pain, hon….
i would just throw the chair away and buy a new one.
but i’m also lazy as fuck.
i’ll just sit here and be totally not jealous of your life. YUCK. also, am sending you a sander. is in the mail.
Oh gosh, hope your move goes okay! Hang in there!
HAHAHA! awwww!!! how did it go lovely?
- is the chair still in one piece?
- if it’s not i assume you broke it on someone.
xxx
Oooh, good luck moving! Ain’t it the WORST?? At least you have a good looking chair, though.
Hmm. Probably not very comforting/reassuring, huh?
You missed a spot.
As long as you’re not up against Lloyd Braun…I bet he can sand a chair like no other.
Good luck with the move? When does the blessed event actually take place?!
oh man, good luck with all of that.
ps- i was in your neck of the woods yesterday!
Wow, that’s hard work. Why did you want to do that? I always make up some excuse to avoid manual labor.
This was just an opportunity to show off the booty shorts, wasn’t it? Hussy.
xo
You sand all of your furniture before moving? You really are a strange girl.
You’re so crafty!
I’m sure we can find a good bail bondsman somewhere in the Northeast…..
And thanks for the comment! Yeah, the lack of a/c sucked, when the thermometer said 105 we decided that the day was a wash. No pun intended, because we were literally dripping with sweat…
I feel your sanding pain! I’m sure the chair will be gorgeous though
Anywhoo, I’m doing a free session giveaway on my blog! Here’s the link: http://dancingthetightrope.blogspot.com/2009/09/luminous-life-freebie.html
You can only sand a chair so long before you realize that you are sanding your own penis by mistake…fortunately, you will never have to worry about that…but watch those boobs!
Wow. Wow. Wow. How about an electric sander?
Happy moving, missy!
p.s. you rock that mask.
Off topic but since I MISS YOUR WORDS I checked out 365 narc and would love to know where you got the shirt with the shimmery Buddha? You can ship something to me to be expertly sanded if you tell me. ;D
Do you recognize that this is correct time to get the credit loans, which can make your dreams come true.
Some time before, I needed to buy a good car for my business but I did not earn enough money and couldn’t purchase something. Thank goodness my colleague proposed to try to take the loans at banks. Thus, I acted so and used to be satisfied with my short term loan.
